Good Day! My name is Natasha Sears, APRN, CNM. I joined the team, as a nurse midwife in August of 2018 after practicing in Salina for the prior three years in a full-scope OBGYN practice. My career began on a Medical-Surgical unit as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). I completed my Masters of Nursing with the University of Cincinnati’s Nurse-Midwifery program in May 2015; stair-stepping my way from LPN to Registered Nurse (RN) and, now, Nurse-Midwife, while growing my family to include my husband and four fantastic children. Salina is my hometown and I loved serving my home community; however, when my husband’s job moved to the Kansas City area, we decided to relocate the whole family after a year of him commuting back and forth.
My first pregnancy in 1999 and my experience with his birth drove me into nursing to provide woman-centered support and care.Thankfully, my prior year-long experience here as a Student Nurse-Midwife prepared me for out of hospital birth and gave me the opportunity to work in a midwifery practice with like-minded midwives, staff, women, and families. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of and care for my new community and can’t wait to care for you prior to and through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond to meet your obstetrical and gynecological needs to the best of my ability.
Midwifery practice in a birth center setting affords us to opportunity to care for your “whole person” needs; emotional, mental, social, physical, and spiritual by spending time getting to know you and your individual needs.
