I joined New Birth Company in October 2021 after coming back to the Midwest from the West Coast. I started my career as a registered nurse in England, before progressing to Midwifery in 2005. After 10 years of experience working as a Midwife in the UK, we relocated to the U.S. where I obtained a Master of Science degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Philadelphia University.
I believe that midwifery is a calling and really like the quote, “She believed she could, so she did!”
I have worked in a number of maternity settings, both in the UK and North America, caring for women at home, hospital, and birth centers. I have attended women in waterbirth to high-risk hospital birth in collaboration with physicians. I have helped hundreds of women safely deliver their babies.
I have a strong background in physiological birth and believe in providing evidence-based and compassionate care, allowing time for women to make informed choices. I enjoy providing well-woman care, contraception and gynecological services, for every stage of a woman’s life, from teenage to post-menopause.
I’ve been married to my husband Brian for many years and live with our two children, ages 15 and 11. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and hiking. I look forward to meeting you and pursuing my passion for midwifery care at New Birth Company.
