Birth Center Nurse
The birth center nurse works closely with the midwives and is responsible for the care of clients and newborns. Our nurses are oriented to have the skill set to perform in multiple roles, whether that’s in the clinic taking client histories, monitoring fetal heart tones during labor, or assessing client and newborn care for discharge following the immediate postpartum recovery period.
*Currently licensed RN or licensed Practical Nurse (w/ IV certification). BLS and NRP (may obtain upon hire). Availability to work days, overnights, and full-time*
Birth Center Assistant
The Birth Center Assistant is employed in assist clinical staff in their duties during periods of high volume in the Birth Center. The BCA will be directly accountable and under the supervision of the clinicians present at the birth center at the time they are working including Nurses or Midwives. Birth Center Assistant are responsible for non-clinical duties: facility cleaning, laundry, preparing client meals and Birth-Day dessert, removing trash, organizing of supplies, and restocking. Birth Center Assistants who are Certified Nursing Assistants may provide basic client care under the direct supervision of the Midwife or Nurse. This is a PRN position guided by birth center census.
Postpartum Nurse
Our Postpartum Nurses are responsible for routine postpartum appointments for the postpartum mama and baby, including: home visits, 3-5 visits, 2 week visits, and any additional postpartum visits as needed. *Currently licensed Registered Nurse *BLS certification *NRP certification (may obtain upon hire) *Availability to work part-time days and additional call hours.

Additional Requirements
- Birth Center staff will have an active Kansas License (APRN/NM, RN, LPN) or commitment to obtain
- AMCB Certification (Nurse Midwife)
- LPN will have IV Certification
- Proof of immunizations and TB screen
- NRP & CPR certification
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Preference for New Birth Company Moms and prior experience with Moms & Babies
