Kansas City Star Wins AABC 2022 Media Award

The American Association of Birth Centers have awarded the 2022 National media Award to Anna Spoerre of the Kansas City Star. This award honors those who have supported birth centers at an exemplary level in their field.
This national recognition has been awarded for their coverage in Women’s Health, which ranges from the history or birth segregation, doulas, birth equity, APRN Full Practice Authority, maternal mortality rates, birth centers, and more recently the Roe V Wade trigger law in Missouri, and the Kansas Constitution amendment primary election.
